Accompany the introduction of SAFe


  • Analysis of the current state
  • Joint development of a hybrid SAFe approach and vision that fits the company, the specific context and the previous approach
  • Joint development of the transformation components and activities along the "SAFe Implementation Roadmap" that fit the company, the context and the vision
  • Help the client to fill the first roles/committees (e.g. change agents, business owners, LACE, guiding coalition) and to train and coach them
  • Set up and implement accompanying change management project  
  • Conduct all necessary SAFe training internally or externally: Not many have the necessary training competencies and certifications, coupled with a lot of practical experience, as comprehensively as we do. Analyse, accompany, improve existing SAFe implementations 


Specific consulting on different SAFe methods/levels:

  • Values Stream Identification and ART definition: workshops and consulting
  • Introduce/support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM); incl. development of the appropriate LPM roadmap

The focus of Scagilize founder Gerd Wessling – due to his more than 25 years of experience as a trainer and consultant in Agile/Hybrid/"Classic" project management – is on complete transformations and at the portfolio level. He himself and the Scagilize team hold the trainings (remotely or on site), plan and accompany the implementation of these transformations – if necessary temporarily also e.g. as RTEs, Agile Coaches, STEs, SPCs and Scrum Masters. For which companies is SAFe the right framework?

"I have been involved in agile, 'traditional' and hybrid project management for more than 25 years. In large and medium-sized companies, I have often observed how the transformation from very 'traditional' project management (e.g. PMI etc.) to more agile/hybrid approaches was difficult. In my search for a better solution, I came across SAFe, among other things, got involved with it and found it very coherent, interesting and logical right from the start – but also pleasantly complex :).


Each framework can be exactly the right one – for the respective client or the respective set-up. Due to the market dynamics and solution expertise with many of my current clients, I currently focus on SAFe (if a scaled, lean/agile approach makes sense in the specific case). Since I also know many other frameworks and am certified in them, I can always recognise early enough if SAFe, for example, does not fit - and then suggest other approaches."
